Pieces of My Heart 2016

Pieces of My Heart 2016

An exploration of the emotional realm; a journey from loss to flight.

Based on a poem written at the height of a personal crisis, this body of work is very personal, yet the themes are universal; loss, grief, renewal and rebirth; lifting off to new possibilities.
This show was first mounted in my home town of Palmwoods, in a charming venue called the Tin Shed, a place where the local cafe roasts their own coffee.
The pieces hung from the open wooden, charmed the coffee tables, beam nestled in beside the coffee roaster, and cups were laid out by the coffee brewer machine. The colours seemed to match.

I'd be very happy if you'd share this!
